The government is revising the Lease Truss. Home Minister Suella Braverman has now announced her resignation.
British Prime Minister Liz Truss must find a new Home Secretary: Suella Braverman has announced her resignation. In a letter, Braverman, who is known as a hardliner in domestic politics, gave the reason for his resignation that he used his personal e-mail address for work e-mail. At the same time, he noted “serious concerns” about the government policies of ailing Prime Minister Liz Truss. Several British media outlets had previously reported the resignation.
Former Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has been tipped to become Home Secretary. Braverman was on the extreme right of the party and a frequent contributor to commentaries on his plans to tighten deportations. He recently railed against “tofu-eating” leftists in Parliament.
This will be the second change in an important department in six days. Truss fired his Treasury Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng on Friday and replaced him with former Secretary of State Jeremy Hunt. The Conservative government is vying for the top office after causing fiscal chaos and turning around with planned tax breaks.
