Germany U21 international Malick Thiaw celebrated a happy win in Serie A with former Champions League winners AC Milan in the last game before the World Cup break.
With an own goal in added time, Milan drew 2-1 (1-1) at home against tenth-placed Fiorentina and moved up to second place in the table with 33 points behind Primus SSC Napoli (41).
The new third is record champions Juventus Turin (31) thanks to Moise Kean. The Italian striker scored two goals (43rd/54th) in the 3-0 (1-0) win over Lazio Rome (30) in the evening. Arkadiusz Milik made the final score (89th). The Romans slipped to fourth place.
Rafael Leao (2nd) gave Milan an early lead, Antonin Barak (26th) equalized for Florence. Shortly before the final whistle, Nikola Milenkovic deflected a cross from Wolfsburg loanee Aster Vranckx into his own goal (90+1).
Thiaw, who arrived from Schalke 04 before the season, started for the second time and was substituted in the 56th minute.
