Rangnick and Gregoritsch with ÖFB training course for perspective players

Team boss Ralf Rangnick and his coaching staff are running a training course for prospective players born between 2000 and 2005 together with U21 team boss Werner Gregoritsch.

The squad will meet in Pula, Croatia, on Monday, November 21, following the international training courses for the national team and the U21 national team, and will complete joint units until Friday, November 25.

According to a broadcast by the ÖFB, this review is intended to provide a comprehensive overview of the young local talents in the internal training sessions.

After discussions with the player and his environment, Paul Wanner (FC Bayern Munich) will also join an ÖFB course for the first time. The 16-year-old Wanner has already played two Champions League games for Munich this season.

“I would like to express my special thanks to the clubs in the Austrian Bundesliga for the good cooperation and the willingness to release their players. Since there is no obligation to release their players during this period, we were unfortunately not able to achieve this with the foreign clubs in every case. For example, Muhammed Cham, Flavius Daniliuc or Emanuel Aiwu do not take part in the course. The squad does not claim to be complete, there are also many other players on our watch list. I think we have an interesting mix here, “said ÖFB sports director Peter Schöttel.
