Real Madrid are keen to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. The royals are doing everything they can to do this.
Real Madrid have created more conditions to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund after this season.
After Vinícius Júnior received Spanish citizenship in early September, his Brazilian compatriots Rodrygo and Éder Militão now also own it. Los Blancos now have no non-EU player under contract. Substitute goalkeeper Andriy Lunin (Ukraine) is treated as an EU citizen following a 2005 European Court of Justice ruling on working conditions.
A possible transfer of the Englishman Bellingham could thus be handled much more easily. LaLiga guidelines state that each club can have a maximum of three players under contract who are not citizens of an EU country – or are affected by said ruling. At the beginning of the season, the three Brazilians had occupied those same places.
Real Madrid: Jude Bellingham is number one transfer target
When the summer transfer window opens after the end of this season, there is likely to be a massive transfer battle for Bellingham. Real Madrid is one of several teams linked with the England midfielder. According to information from SPOX and goal Bellingham is Real Madrid’s top target.
Bellingham is by no means unhappy at Borussia Dortmund. In view of his strong performances in the Bundesliga and the Champions League, he would like to slowly take the step to a team that plays for the highest titles. In addition to Real Madrid, each of the Premier League’s six big clubs have also been linked with a move.
