Is Yusuf Demir’s Turkey adventure coming to an end sooner than expected? The Austrian is already associated with a farewell. Three clubs from Italy seem to be interested.
In the summer, Yusuf Demir switched from Rapid Vienna to Galatasaray Istanbul for six million euros. Since then, the 19-year-old has only played 40 minutes in the Süper Lig for the traditional club.
Because “only” eight foreigners are allowed to be on the field at the same time in Turkey and Demir is one of 16 legionnaires in the Galatasaray squad, the chances of further assignments are not particularly good.
But redemption could come soon for the offensive player: How Calciomercato reported, some clubs are keeping an eye on Demir’s situation. These include the three Serie A clubs Sassuolo, Sampdoria Genoa and FC Torino. Accordingly, also in the raffle: Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund.
The four-time ÖFB team player is under contract in Istanbul until the summer of 2026.
