Joachim Löw ready for a new job: “Feel a motivation again”

Almost a year and a half after leaving as national coach, Joachim Löw is ready for a new job as a coach.

“I feel motivated again when I watch football now – it wasn’t the case for a few months,” said Löw dem table football: “If I feel a task would appeal to me, I’m ready and attack again.”

Löw’s 15-year tenure as national coach ended on June 29, 2021 with the defeat in the European Championship quarter-finals against England. The 62-year-old then retired to private and family life.

Before the World Cup in Qatar (November 20th to December 18th), Löw does not want to take on any new tasks. “I would like to experience a World Cup on site as an outsider,” says Loew: “That’s why I haven’t gotten a job yet.”

Löw last coached a club in 2003/04 when he was responsible for Austria Wien. He then became Jürgen Klinsmann’s assistant for the German senior team until the 2006 World Cup, which he then took over from Klinsmann.
