Ex-Brazil star Kaká takes part in the marathon in Berlin

Former Brazilian football star Kaka runs his first marathon in Berlin on Sunday – and has set himself an ambitious goal.

“I want to run around 3:40 hours. If I feel good, maybe even more is possible,” said the 2002 world champion on Friday in the German capital.

The long-time Milan and Real pro is going on the 42.195 km route together with his brother and father.

“I’m very happy and just as excited as I used to be before soccer games,” said Kaka, who and his coach had agreed on Berlin as the first marathon: “The whole package convinced me. A great city with a great marathon.”

Kaka, World Player of the Year 2007, ended his career in 2017.
