AFC Bournemouth have sacked coach Scott Parker three days after the 9-0 Premier League debacle at Liverpool, team manager Jürgen Klopp’s club. The club announced this on Tuesday.
It was only the fourth time since the Premier League was founded that a club had lost 9-0. Gary O’Neil becomes interim coach of AFC.
Club co-owner Maxim Demin thanked Parker for his work at Bournemouth and highlighted last season’s promotion. “This success will go down as one of the greatest successes in the club’s history,” said Demin.
He continued: “However, in order for us to move forward as a team and as a club as a whole, it is imperative that our strategy is geared towards running the club sustainably.” You also have to show trust and respect for each other. The search for a new team manager has begun.
