2nd league: HSV continues away series

SC Paderborn maintained the top of the table on the 6th matchday of the 2nd Bundesliga despite a draw. Karlsruher SC continued its upward trend with the third three in a row. In the evening, Hamburger SV underpinned its promotion ambitions with a win in Nuremberg.

The SCP did not get past 2:2 (1:0) at FC St. Pauli despite leading twice, but still leads the ranking with 13 points.

Marvin Pieringer (44th) scored for Paderborn, Etienne Amenyido (84th) made it 1-1. The supposed 2:1 for Paderborn by Sirlord Conteh (85th) was not given after video evidence because of offside.

But in the second minute of added time, Conteh scored to make it 2-1 for the guests, 107 seconds later David Nemeth (90+3) equalized for the home side.

In the 51st minute, SCP keeper Jannik Huth saved a penalty kick from Leart Paqarada. This was preceded by a foul by Marcel Hoffmeier on Manolis Saliakas. Huth parried the third penalty in the second division in a row.

Division of points between Darmstadt and Heidenheim

East Westphalia’s closest competitor, Darmstadt 98, did not get past 2-2 (1-0) against 1. FC Heidenheim. Braydon Manu (36th) scored the opening goal for Lilien, Patrick Mainka (70th) managed to equalize.

Frank Ronstadt (76th) made it 2-1 for the hosts, but Tim Kleindienst (82nd) managed to equalize again. Paderborn and Darmstadt are tied at the top of the 2nd division.

Nurberg – HSV: Referee-Zwayer causes excitement

Third-placed Hamburger SV followed a point behind after a 2-0 (1-0) win at 1. FC Nürnberg, their third win in the third away game of the season. Mario Vuskovic (37th) and Robert Glatzel (90th + 2) scored in front of 35,713 spectators – but the big excitement was another scene.

Club defender Florian Hübner slipped in his own penalty area and brought Glatzel down from behind (21′). Referee Felix Zwayer surprisingly decided on a free kick for Nuremberg, how it came about was initially not to be resolved. Glatzel may have been offside.

KSC continues winning streak

In addition, Karlsruher SC won 2-0 (1-0) against Hansa Rostock and celebrated the third win in a row. In the table, KSC jumped to sixth place with ten points.

Philip Heise (18th) gave the Karlsruhe team a deserved lead with a wonderful direct acceptance. Malik Batmaz (40th) increased.
