Throwback for Lonzo Ball! Bulls-Guard is out again for weeks

The Chicago Bulls once again have to do without Lonzo Ball for weeks. The point guard has to have knee surgery and therefore is likely to miss the start of the season. The franchise announced this in an official statement.

Ball will undergo an arthroscopic debridement scheduled for next week, on September 28. The goal is to remove loose objects or dead tissue in the left knee. The 24-year-old should be seen again in four to six weeks.

The point guard’s knee has bothered him for a long time. In January he had to undergo surgery on his meniscus, after which his rehabilitation did not go as planned. Instead, there were repeated setbacks in the healing process.

Even in the summer, Ball could not train without pain, according to ESPN met with various specialists to discuss how to proceed. The decision has now been made to undergo another surgery.

Due to knee problems, Ball only played 35 games last season. In the first months of the season he played an important role with 13.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists with a 3-point rate of 42.3 percent and his strong defense with the Bulls. Strong start to the season.
